This just came out of a southern home days ago and is fresh to the market. This is an early Civil War Cabinet Photograph of a Norfolk,Va. Confederate officer holding what appears to be a D-Guard Knife. The photo is in it's original maple ogee shadow box frame. The photographer is identified as being Bellamy in Norfolk. Frame measures 7 x 9 inches. I have not removed the slag board backing to check for any further identification..
