In 1939 Effanbee created a play doll for little girls that were a departure from the Patsy family style of dolls with painted side glance eyes and molded hair. This new "Little Lady" was designed to meet the demand of a sleep-eyed doll with lovely, style-able hair and fashionable lady-like clothing. All details from her tapering separated fingers to her delicate heart shaped face were just the things to capture a romantic elegance in doll making. The rich coat dress and hat were first created by Effanbee in 1942. All Little Ladies are re-created from originals and include such historically correct detailing as sleep eyes, hand-strung limbs and authentically style wigs. This doll is no exception to the rule. She is absolutely gorgeous and comes to you mint in box MIB. A doll stand is included.
