This is a Beautiful 1958 Sweet Gail fashion 30" doll from Deluxe Dolls. This doll is what may be referred to as a cousin to the Sweet Rosemary, Darling Debbie, Betty Bride, Cinderella and Beautiful Gail Dolls. She came out a year later...when Deluxe Dolls decided that they weren't sure about the soft bodies of these original dolls. Instead of a soft body, Sweet Gail has a hard plastic body jointed at the shoulders and hips. She has the same head as her cousin dolls, except they put long hair on her. Her complexion is literally peaches and cream! Her blue eyes sparkle! She's so clean she glistens from head to toe! Sweet Gail is wearing her original clothing, a gorgeous purple satin ball gown with a silver accented white fabric in the front. Tiny bunches of posies accent both the bodice and the skirt of her gown. She's also wearing matching purple satin gauntlets, a white buckram underskirt, her original undies and silver high heels decorated with the original ornament. She's wearing beautiful faux pearl earrings and necklace in perfect condition and a Rhinestone accented Tiara for the finishing touch.
Her shiny golden Blonde hair is in the original hairnet. It's obvious that his doll has never been played with! But she has been displayed...I believe that her ball gown once was a royal blue or dark purple and is now a lavender purple; however if it's faded, it faded evenly...no streaks, just in case... the price takes this into consideration. She's marked 200.00 less than my Sweet Ann in the red ball gown.
