Depression Glass: Sharon Cheese Dish made by the Old Federal Glass Co 1935-1939: This is a Cheese Dish "RARE" Amber Sharon. The cheese dish is almost impossible to find and is considered to be the "holy grail" of Sharon depression Glass. I've been collecting Pink and Amber Sharon and other depression glass since 1970. The cheese dish is a virtually flat dish with a raised ridge that keeps the lid from slipping around. The cheese dish is 7.25 inches in diameter and stands 13/16 inch high. There's a raised ridge that keeps the lid in place and with the lid sitting on the dish...the total height is 3 inches. This cheese dish is in "perfect" condition with no chips or cracks. It has the usual factory straw marks and bubbles and very minimal utensil marks. This is depression glass; it was given away during the 1930's as a premium. It is beautiful and made by the Old Federal Glass Co 1935-1939.
