Vintage Sterling Art Deco Compact Vanity Purse Hallmarked Minaudiere 1920s

For your consideration is a Fabulous Art Deco 1920s era Compact Purse Wristlet, also called a Minaudiere.

This piece is very heavy, weighing in at approximately 244.8 grams.

Signature/Marks: Stamped Sterling and the Hallmark for R. Blackinton & Co. Also the number 1011. Also marked 559 on the machine turned goldwash section.

Opens up, one side is a bevelled mirror, no damage or imperfections on the mirror!

The second compartment opens to a coin holder and below that is a powder section with original puff. There is some powder remaining in that section. The metal is machine turned and gold washed on the inside. It is numbered/marked 559 in 2 places.

It is monogrammed on the front with what looks like HHC.

A chain is connected to wear as a wristlet.

There is some scuffing on the front and back. A few tiny dings on the front. All the clips and closures work perfectly with strong clasps.

The actual purse measures 3 3/8" tall, 2 1/2" wide and just over 1/2" thick. The handle chain drop measures 9 1/2" long.
