This is a French Theodore Haviland Limoges hard paste porcelain chocolate pot. The date is the late 19th century to the first part of the 20th century, circa 1895 to 1903.
The pot is 10 ¾” high to the top of the finial and 5 ¾” wide at the belly.
The body is bulbous and slightly ribbed. The handle had scrolls in the blank, brushed in gold trim. The finial is a loop, and brushed in gold trim. The bottom is slightly scalloped and it is also brushed in gold trim.
The transfer pattern is one of small forget-me-not flowers in shades of violet, purple and blue. The foliage is brown, green and gray.
The tab on the underside of the lid is broken off, and I show this in one photo, outlined in red. The flaw cannot be seen and does not impair the function of the pot, as this tab typically gets broken eventually. There is minimum rubbing wear to the gold trim. There are no chips, cracks or crazing.
The pot is marked on the underside of the lid and the bottom in faded red with the Legion of Honor symbol followed by Porcelaine Theodore Haviland Limoges France.
