Ask about Layaway terms. Look for the special porcelain & glass with bird and butterfly themes.
This is an English glass trumpet vase with an iridescent finish. The vase sits inside a metal holder. The age is 20th century, circa 1910.
With the vase sitting inside the metal base holder, the ensemble is 7 1/8 high. The glass vase is 6 Ό high and about 4 wide at the top. The metal base is about 3 high, 5 Ύ long and about 4 ½ wide.
The glass is clear at the bottom. It has an iridescent finish over white glass for the remainder, giving it a satin-like finish and an almost rainbow hue in certain light. Part of the glass is darker, somewhat yellowish, and this doesnt show very well in the photos. The rim has an applied trail and is crimped six times.
The metal base is shaped like tree branches, with the metal circling up to form the holder to insert the vase. A bird is perched on the front end. The metal is unmarked as to the maker.
The glass has a polished end. On the rim there is one tiny small bump of glass. At one crimp there is a slight line within the glass. There is a small speck of red on the inside top rim. There are no chips, nicks, cracks or repairs.
There is age patina on the metal. There are no obvious flaws.
