This is a French Haviland & Co Limoges water or milk pitcher. The age is circa 1894 to 1930.
The jug is about 6 ¾” high and 5 ¾” wide at the base.
The blank is Schleiger 12, and Haviland produced the pitchers in this blank to specifically go with the Ranson blank.
The pattern is a factory applied transfer. There are sprays of flowers all around the body of the pitcher, and more sprays of flowers inside. The poppies are pink or blue, touched with pink or blue and green. The leaves are green, touched with pink.
Gold is brushed on the handle, around the rim, and around the base. There is a green border line around the rim’s edge, below the gold.
There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There is some gold wear on the handle due to rubbing over the years. There are a few tiny spots of roughness on the underside edge, where the jug rests on the table.
The green underglaze mark is Haviland France. The red overglaze factory decorating mark is Haviland & Co Limoges for Burbank Douglass & Co. There is an incised 3 in the bottom and it is the factory number to indicate the size of the pitcher.
I did not look up the pattern number.
