This is a Bohemian art glass vase. The maker is Harrach. The age is 19th century, circa 1890.
The vase is 6 1/2” high, 7 ½” long and 3” wide.
The glass is opaque, similar to custard or Bristol glass. The bottom is a light brown, and the color shades to a raspberry pink red at the top.
The rim is multi-way crimped to form a fan shape. The four feet are colored clear glass and the color is a green-brown.
The front of the vase has hand painted flowers, leaves, stems and a butterfly in different shades of gold enamel, including white gold, and some raised blue enamel. The back of the vase has thistle flowers, leaves and stems in shades of gold, to show as silver, pewter, yellow gold and bronze.
The front of each applied foot has a hand enameled maple leaf.
There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There is a clear glass air bubble on the inside of the vase. There are a few dark specks on the glass. The gold trim on the rim is mostly worn away.
The pontil is round, polished smooth, and slightly concave. On the pontil in black enamel is the number one followed by a period. The bottom of the feet are polished flat.
