This 1940s-50s clutch purse /wallet has the hornback scales on the center of the outside and is a rich cognac brown. It measures 6 1/8 inches (15.31 cm) wide and 3 3/8 inches (8.44 cm) tall when folded.

It is leather lined and has several interior compartments. A snap purse with a decorative scallop flap neatly holds paper money or other items and is one side of the interior. Behind it is a area to insert currency or other items.

The other half of the inside has three open pockets, one with leather and contrasting alligator trim. It also has a metal clasp closure pocket for suitable for coins.

The exterior is in good condition with some wear on two corners and along the edges. There is wear visible on the interior, but there are no tears. On the bottom part of the interior snap purse is an area that has been roughed by opening the snap. There are five spots on the inside of the leather-lined change purse. The photographs show all worn areas. Suitable leather conditioner would restore these areas and help prevent additional wear.
