The grandson and son of artists, the Brooklyn-born Fisher (1875 - 1934) was renowned for his renditions of beautiful women -- his "Fisher Girl" and, more specifically, his "American Girl", became the epitome of beauty in America during the first quarter of the 20th century. She was feminine and beautiful, but also independent and strong, and the artwork of Harrison Fisher appeared on over 80 covers of the Saturday Evening Post, and from 1913 until his death in 1934, he created almost every cover for Cosmopolitan magazine.

Offered here are two vintage original plates from *Bachelor Belles*, a bound portfolio published by Mr Fisher in 1908 -- heavy card-stock, still-glossy, very well-preserved and ideal for matting & display in period frames or as parts of a collage -- each is NM @ c. 7.25 x 10.5” -- click on the pic to see enlarged views, dimensions & matting margins as well as a panel that might serve as a certificate of authenticity (make a copy if you need one)
