Very pretty two piece fashion or china doll costume done in black satin top with black/ruby iridescent taffeta skirt trimmed with black ribbons & lace, rich burgundy velvet and black jet beads!

The skirt is definitely vintage and made with antique materials and lace - the black ribbons look newer. The skirt is lined with a wonderful full drape in back. The skirt is 13" long in front and 17" long at the back. The waist is 11" and closes in the back with a metal snap and hook plus a small jet bead with thread loop. The skirt is lined - I have pictured it inside out to show stains to the lining from the color transfer from the velvet and jet beaded piece.

The jacket does match the skirt and some of the matching taffeta is used on the sleeves and front but I do not believe it is as old as the skirt. The workmanship is not as well done on the jacket. The satin and lace is newer (1980's?) and the front of the jacket is trimmed with 5 small rhinestones.

The jacket is 5" long, the sleeves are 5" long. The actual bust measurement is 11". The jacket is lined and closes up the front with silver hooks and eyes.

Very pretty on a china or fashion doll of about 20" tall.
