Her head is incised Simon & Halbig with the script AR W in a circle and 156/0 at the socket. The bisque socket head by Simon & Halbig is very similar to the popular K*R 126 baby face. She dates to about 1925. To find out more about this mold, see page 223 of Jan Foulke's Simon & Halbig Dolls - The Artful Aspect.
There are not chips cracks or hairlines to the bisque head but a few rubs to her right cheek and nose. There is also a little dash of extra paint in her right eyebrow. It is much more visible in the high resolution pictures than in person.
She has feathered eyebrows and blue glass sleep eyes with hair lashes on the left eye but most lashes are gone from the right eye. She has an open/closed mouth with 2 upper teeth.
her five piece baby body is composition. There are chips on both toes and signs of paint touch up around the neck on the body. The torso and legs have very tiny little brown spots that initially looked like burst tiny air bubbles but they can not be felt - the surface is smooth.
She has a white eyelet dress and a dotted Swiss bonnet and a white flannel diaper. Her blonde mohair wig is original and is very simply attached to the carton pate and spread over the head. It has greyed in the front near her bangs that were exposed to more light. Under the bonnet, the hair is closer to a strawberry blonde.
She will also come with the little wooden toy of a girl & her doll and a small bird with a note. It is only 1 1/2 inches tall but has a chip out of the hat and chips to the paint on the hat. There is a green paper label on the bottom with what looks like Wm. K. and $4.75 in pencil. I think these date 1940's.
