I wish Ruby Lane would allow more than 9 pictures. There is just so much I want to show you about this special doll!

First, I have to tell you about a hairline about 1" long on the front crown. The rim also has an uneven edge with small chip in the same area as the hairline. And, there is a light rub on her left cheek that is much more evident in the enlarged photos. There is also a faint hairline on the back of the shoulderplate.

She is 21 inches tall with a socket head and bisque shoulderplate on a kid body with bisque arms and hands.

She is only marked size 9 in script with the artist's checkmarks in red. She also has wooden neck buttons between a coil spring.

The cut of the head is sloped and there is a small rim. She has lost her pate. The wonderful brown mohair wig is antique and tagged Germany inside but I believe it is not as old as the doll.

The blue paperweight eyes are amazing and the inside lids upper and lower are lined in black making for an even more dramatic presentation.

The protruding upper lip is in a very pronounced heart shape with upturned corners. There are accent lines on the upper and lower lip.

Her ears are pierced and her drop earrings have a topaz color stone and brass (I think) ball.

The kid body is the one she was found with. I do have photos of the head and shoulderplate off the body - please let me know if you would like to see these. The body has numerous patches but is not leaking now. The toes are stitched and the sole is a separate piece. The bisque arms are in good condition with cupped fingers, nicely modeled nail beds and a separate thumb.

The clothing is original and in good/fair condition. It has overall soiling and wear and melting especially on the silk sleeves. The silk taffeta is iridescent gold and pink with deep burgundy velveteen trim and brass buttons up the front. Underneath she has a wool top with red embroidery, a wool petticoat and cotton drawers. The cream wool long socks have moth holes. Her slipper shoes are fantastic - made of dark brown reptile or snake skin with gold metal toe decoration. The navy straw hat has a wide silk bow. The straw has wear with open spots in the stitching.
