Return Policy
Ruby Lane and each of its independent shops want you to be satisfied with your purchase. To ensure your satisfaction and for the protection of both the buyer and shop owner, we have a Return Policy that each Ruby Lane shop owner honors. View Return Policy now.

Shipping/Handling/Insurance Policy:
The buyer pays for all shipping and insurance charges.

US ORDERS:
We ship via US Postal Service Monday through Saturday. For larger items such as dollhouses, FEDEX and UPS are also available and we can email you an estimate of cost if you will provide your zip code to us.

Choose one of these payment methods:
PAYPAL - payment due within 3 days, shipped next business day after payment received.
PAYPAL "ECHECKS" - payment due within 3 days, shipped after bank clearance (5 business days).
CREDIT CARDS - payment due within 3 days, shipped next business day to verified/confirmed credit card billing addresses ONLY; please ensure that you give the correct shipping address on your Ruby Lane purchase order.
US POSTAL MONEY ORDERS - payment due within 7 days, shipped next business day.
OTHER MONEY ORDERS - payment due within 7 days, shipped after bank clearance (10 business days).
CHECKS - payment due within 7 days, shipped after bank clearance (10 business days).

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
We ship via US Postal Service. We will email you with shipping prices. Please be aware of your country's customs charges and take this into consideration when buying from us as we do not falsify customs records. Please do not ask us to do so.

INTERNATIONAL PAYPAL from a PayPal approved country. Please email your shipping address to us for approval before ordering. Payment due within 3 days, shipped next business day after payment received.
INTERNATIONAL CREDIT CARDS - Please email your shipping address to us for approval before ordering. Payment due within 3 days, shipped next business day after payment received.
INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDER in US funds only - payment due within 10 days, shipped after bank clearance (10 business days).

Restocking Fee:
We charge a 10% restocking fee on all items returned. We do not refund shipping and insurance costs unless an item was damaged in transit or in the unlikely event it was mislabeled by us. We will waive the restocking fee if you are exchanging the returned item for additional items, provided they are of equal or greater value than the item being returned.

LAYAWAY TERMS
************************
We offer Layaway on purchases of $100 or more. Here's the details:

On orders between $100 to $500, we offer a 2 month
layaway plan. We require 1/3rd down when the purchase
is initiated, 1/3rd at 30 days and the final 1/3rd payment
at 60 days.

On orders of $500 or more, we offer a 3 month layaway plan. We require 1/4th down at time of purchase, 1/4th at 30 days, 1/4th at 60 days and the final 1/4th at 90 days.

At time of purchase, you will receive an email noting the
merchandise included in the layaway, the total price
including shipping and insurance and the amount for each
payment.

We prefer payments to be made by credit or debit card, but we do accept all other forms of payment. We just ask that payments be made in a timely manner. If paying with a credit or debit card, we will charge your card on the appropriate day. For all other forms of payment, we will email you a payment reminder one week prior to when your payment is due. After payment is made, we will send you an email update showing the date payment was made and your balance due.

Please note that layaway sales are considered "final sale" with no return privileges unless damaged in shipment or mislabeled by us. In the event the layaway is canceled prior to the final payment, we will credit all money you have paid toward a future purchase. Sorry, no cash refunds.

PLACING AN ITEM(S) ON LAYAWAY

Click on the "Add to Shopping Bag" button at the bottom of the page of the item you wish to put on layaway. Then continue shopping or click on the "Checkout All" button.

Fill out the "Buyer Information". There is no layaway option box to check. Just add a short note in the "Any Additional Information" box that you wish to put your item(s) on layaway.

After you have completed the buyer information and clicked on the "Purchase Now" button, we will email you the details of your payment schedule and if paying with a credit or debit card, instructions for relaying the card information to us.

HOLDS & NEGOTIATED PRICES

Listed items are available to any buyer who clicks on the "purchase" button. If you are seriously considering the purchase of an item, it may be placed on hold for 48 hours. Negotiated prices are also good for 48 hours.
