Tootsie Toy dollhouse kitchen chair from the 1930s has a slat back and is painted green. It measures 1 5/8” t x 1 1/4” w x 2 1/4” d. Marked “Tootsie Toy”, it is in excellent condition with minimal paint loss and no bent or broken parts. The chair is part of the redesigned kitchen set which included cabinets with working doors and drawers. It is also used in the bathroom set.

Manufactured by the Chicago based Dowst Brothers firm from 1922 to 1937, Tootsie Toy furniture is made of cast metal in 1/2” scale. The colorfully enameled furniture followed popular furniture styles of the 1920s and 30s.
