China: 19th Century steel print: “ Cap Vendor’ s Shop, Canton”. Original steel print after a drawing by Thomas Allom, engraved by W. Floyd. Most attractive scene depicting an old cap shop in Canton, South China. A customer with pigtail is trying caps, a servant preparing tea, a Buddhist monk entering the shop.

The complete item including margins is 250 x 200 mm ( 10 x 8 inches), the actual print is: 190 x 125 mm. A tear and creasing at the broad margins of the right side. The actual print is absolutely clean and shows no aging.
