Original Oil Painting by the Chinese painter Xue Mingde: "Student" (It shows a girl from Denmark, a student at Peking University by that time). Oil on paper on wood. 270 x 380 mm. Xue Mingde came right from a Chinese prison camp where he he to undergo "change of mind through labor", when I first met him in 1988. And he came right from prison again when I last met him in 1983. Xue is well known as painter being close to the Chinese intellectuals (though he was non intellectual) who tried for a "new spring" in China at the end of the 1980ies. Scarce painting from those days, painted in 1988. (The image only shows the bigger part of the actual painting).

The painting comes with a certificate of authenticity.
