Vintage Copper Belt and Matching Earrings

Mid-century copper belt and matching earrings unsigned Renoir. I have added a photo of two of these belts worn by actresses in a play called "Magalena" for whom Jerry Fels designed copper jewelry and belts. (Photo from the Collector book by Kaplan and Burkholtz, page 95).

I have owned the clip earrings for some time, and recently was fortunate enough to find the matching belt! Unfortunately for me, the belt is too small or I would wear it with my other vintage copper jewelry, my favorite. The women back then were smaller obviously.

Belt measures 26 inches inside diameter and is joined in the center by a thick copper link chain that connects to a hook on one side.

Widest point in back is 2.5 inches, and the front measures just under two inches. Belt is a solid copper form, with two front panels hinged. Neat design, they have three loops in different sizes, as do the matching earrings.

Earrings are clip style, unsigned. They have two layers of curved copper, one on top of the other for a great dimensional look. Same silvertone backs as Renoir and Matisse jewelry.

Condition is very good with minor scratches to the copper o the belt. Nothing major.
