Vintage 60s Brown Velveteen Leaf Applique Purse & Hat Set “Doris Designed”

Perfect for autumn and beyond, this vintage early 60s purse and hat set from Gene Doris in cocoa brown velveteen features decorative stitching and appliqued velveteen leaves in rust, cream, and olive.

Small, sculptured hat has a shallow, visor-like brim that frames the face wonderfully; labelled “Doris Designed”, it is lined in matching satin and measures 21” around the inner grosgrain ribbon.

Decorated on the side with faux flap, the purse has double fabric handles (knotted together on top); a stand-apart hinged opening; and brown faille lining with one open sidewall pocket. Measures 7 ½” x 9”, with the handles measuring 16”.

Hat is in excellent condition; purse is in good condition, with two faint 1” stains to the lining (see photo #8).
