Vintage 40s/WWII-Era Miriam Haskell Beaded Brooch

Vintage 40s Miriam Haskell crescent shaped beaded brooch features multicolored plastic melon beads topped by clear beads, handsewn to a pierced plastic back. Authenticated as an unsigned early Haskell by Cathy Gordon, author of “Miriam Haskell Jewelry”, the brooch has components and design features characteristic of Haskell’s WWII era jewelry (see, for instance, the dress clip with plastic flower beads on p 149 and the pin with pierced plastic back on p. 150). C-clasp closure. Measuring 2” high, the brooch is in very good condition, with one center bead missing from a bottom row.
