Vintage 30s Czech Deco style brooch features a large, faceted topaz glass stone in a gilt base metal setting. The unfoiled stone is prong-set “a jour” (openbacked), and the layered construction of the setting combines geometric designs with open-work. Though unsigned, this beautiful piece has all the characteristics of Czech-manufactured jewelry of the time, which often wasn't marked. Measuring 2” across and ¾” high, it is in excellent condition.
