Vintage Shaker very large three finger oval box and cover in plain wood finish measures 11-1/2" long x 7-1/2" wide x 4" high.

The simple finish on this box suggest it made for personal use; rather than for sale to the world. The wood grain on the cover band is exceptional. Large copper brads characteristic of Shaker workmanship are prominent. This old box is in very nice shape.

Purchased from a private local collection at auction in New Lebanon, New York. Most likely came from either Mount Lebanon NY or Hancock MA Communities.
