Rare Vintage Shaker Dry Measures -Sabbathday Lake, Maine (c.1860) - Complete Nesting Set

Rare complete set of authentic vintage Shaker hand-crafted dry measures that sit inside each other (or "nest") for easy storage. Each is stenciled on the front with with the logo for the Shaker Society, Sabbathday Lake, Maine, and are very old - probably mid-19th century. Nonetheless, they are in wonderful condition for their age - and the patina is extraordinary.

The largest measure is 7-¾”high x 14-½” diameter; and has a metal band around the lip and metal carrying handles. The other measures are 6-½”high x 11-¼” diameter; 5-¼” high x 9-1/2” diameter; and 4” high x. 7-½” diameter. These do not have metal bands or carrying handles.
