Authentic vintage Shaker candlestand of butternut and maple (24-1/4" high) comes from the Watervliet New York community circa1840-1850, and features classic Shaker craftsmanship. Two-board top is 17-1/4" in diameter; splined and screwed into a round disk on a turned shaft over four snake legs.

Purchased at private auction of all Shaker items held at the Shaker Village Museum in Hancock MA.

A wonderful piece of authentic Shaker furniture.
