ITEMS ADDED DAILY: New York City memorabilia; vintage stereo-views, postcards, sheet music & ephemera; collectible banks
From 1847-1850, taking advantage of the broad plain and the 57' drop in the Connecticut River at South Hadley Falls, Holyoke grew enough to become a separate municipality. In less than 30 years, Holyoke was called the "Queen of Industrial Cities", and the "Paper City of the World".
Vintage Keystone curved mounted negative #22070 - probably produced for public school educational purposes - was published by Keystone View Company of Meadville, Pennsylvania; New York; Portland Oregon; London & Sydney Australia. Copyright is undated.
3-D EFFECT: The 3-D effect of the workroom and women at work is very good.
PHOTO NOTE: The photo images are exceptionally sharp & clean - the images are much sharper in the viewer than they appear in our scanned image. Any small surface scratches are accentuated by the scanning process and are virtually imperceptible viewed through the stereoscopic viewer.
