1916 vintage 16-page linen child's book about the Native American Indian boy Hiawatha with eight full page color illustrations by C. H. Lawrence (1915) and the text of a poem about the Indian boy Hiawatha (Author unknown). Subject matter is highly collectible.

Copyright 1916 by well-known publishing house M. A. Donohue & Co., in business from 1903 to the 1960s at 711 South Dearborn in Chicago.

Measures 12" high x 10" wide. Front and back covers are noticeably brown with age; with occasional stains and discoloration. Interior pages have less age discoloration and fewer stains. The cover has corner creases, both defects obvious in the pictures. Also page page corners tend to curl.

However, all pages are firmly attached; and both cover and interior page colors, although muted with age, have not faded. All in all, a well used vintage linen child's book, with great color illustrations still in pretty could condition for its age.
