I believe it is a daguerreotype photo however I am not sure.

Measuring 3 1/8" by 2 5/8", the union case has a Gothic arch like design ( almost looks like a stained glass window).

Other than a few minor dings to corner edges ( very minor), the case appears to be in good condition. The hinges work great however if you open the case and wiggle back and forth, there is a little play in the front hinges.

Really a nice vintage antique photo and case.
