This gorgeous mid to late 1800's necklace features an elaborate book chain link chain from which hangs a gorgeous locket with a central red stone. It is possible the chain and locket are gold filled or rolled gold. They do not test as gold. I have been told that it is possible the stone is ruby or garnet however I do not have a way to test it so am selling as red stone.
