One of the highlights of my travels was my good fortune in seeing the Book of Kells at Trinity college in Dublin. The Book is an illustrated manuscript from the 800's which contains the four gospels beautifully illustrated. The intricate illustrations are exceptionally beautiful and moving. Seeing the book drives home the point that Art can be a form of worship. This pendant is highlighted by a Kell Dragon Concho. This pendant has a deeply embossed Lindisfarne knot Celtic piece as the center. Lindisfarne is a tidal island off the coast of England. There was a monastery there and some illustrated books were produced there. The bail is silver plated with a 7 MM opening and is ready for your collar necklace, chain or leather.
