This is a wonderful Pairpoint Art Nouveau Silverplate Basket. It is a heavy handled basket. It has a handcrafted, embossed design in the bottom that features cherries, pears and apples among a swirl of leaves and branches. The crimped sides have a scalloped rim with the edges folded inward/outward in alternating fashion. The decorative handle has wavy edges and a split at each end where it attaches to the body. It is silverplate with an excellent patina.

Marked "Pairpoint Mfg. Co.; Quadruple Plate; 2911" on the bottom with the Pairpoint logo (please see pictures). It measures 5" across bottom and 3 ¾" tall to the top of the handle.

Excellent Condition: no dents, cracks or holes; minor use scratches; excellent patina; some silver loss, although it's difficult to say how much, since we don't want to polish it and remove the lovely patina.

This is a stunning example of Pairpoint's work and it would be a terrific addition to any collection. It can be used as a candy dish or displayed on its own. Don't miss this one!
