The three dimensional and figural look of the two flowers adds depth and presence to this beautiful piece. We believe the two stones are the Nephrite variety of Jade. They are cabochon style ovals and they show a great deal of shading, from pale celadon to kelly green. The stems cross at the bottom.
It has a solid back and a locking pin clasp. The pin has bent but it still works fine. It is a weighty piece with a hallmark that has long since been worn away. Research indicates this is from Mexico, ca. 1940’s.
It is about 3 ¼” tall and about 2 ¼” across the widest part.
Excellent Condition: no cracks, breaks, dents or heavy scratches. The stones are well secured and have no damage.
This is an outstanding example of mid 20th century Mexican silver jewelry. It has everything going for it, including the large size, the style, and the unique stones. It is beautiful and useful. We are always offering a nice selection of vintage goodies, so please take a look through our shop. We would be pleased to combine shipping on multiple purchases.
