What a beautiful dish! The transferware decoration features a small yellow breasted brown bird on a branch, surrounded by bright orange and yellow flowers with green foliage. The bright colors really pop against the pure white porcelain. The plate is finished off with a gold band around the rim.
It is marked with a Schumann mark, ca. 1960 that states “Bavaria; Schumann; Arzberg; Germany; 7”. It measures about 7 ˝” across.
Excellent Condition: no chips, cracks or crazing. The gold rim shows almost no wear, retaining 99%.
This is a beautiful plate that could be displayed on a plate rack or wall or it would be nice mixed with a collection of porcelain bird items. Don’t miss this one!
