Now is the time to Lay Away for the holidays! Please ask about our flexible Plan!
He no longer has his runners, but he has a steady stance so he is very easy to display. The beautiful brownish red paint is original and the surface is original. He has glass eyes. The leather reins and bridle are partially intact and the tacks are original. His mane and braided tail are coarse string and the hooves are painted black. He has red paint in his mouth and nostrils. The patina on this true antique folk art piece is outstanding!
He stands 18 ½ tall to the top of his head and 11 ½ tall to the top of his back end. The full length at the bottom is 35 and he measures 7 ½ wide across the hooves. He weighs 9 lb., 9 oz.
Very Good Condition: This horse was used and has an assortment of scratches and scrapes, as can be seen in the pictures. He is missing some tufts of his mane and the leather bridle and reins have partially deteriorated. The glass eyes are free of damage. He is structurally sound, but the head has loosened a bit at the seam with the neck. It can easily be tightened, as it is a minor issue, and it displays perfectly as it is with no problem.
This horse is an exceptional example of antique folk art, and it has everything going for it! What a wonderful display item! Dont miss the opportunity to add a special item to your collection. Please check our shop for more special items! This item is not eligible for combined shipping.
