Please ask about our generous and flexible Lay Away Plan!
It is an original Black Americana piece, dating from 1936 and it was made by the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. It has its original paint and it depicts a black face boy, dressed in bright farmer-style clothes. He is made of thick sheet steel and he holds a rubber hose.
When connected to a hose and the water turned on, he swings around, watering the lawn and/or garden. It is totally in original condition and everything on it is original - from the fittings to the hose.
It measures about 32” tall and 8 ½” across. The original arm holding the hose is 9" long. The paint is guaranteed all original and the rust is only surface rust which will clean up nicely with Naval Jelly or Brasso. The photographs make the rust look worse than it is in person.
This is such an outstanding historical item, and we are pleased to offer it for your consideration. It is sure to be a treasured addition to anyone who collects Black Americana. This is a super opportunity to purchase a gift or add to a collection, so don’t miss out!
We are always offering a nice selection of vintage goodies, so please take a look through our shop. We would be pleased to combine shipping on multiple purchases when possible.
