Johnson Bros Merry Christmas Tree Shaped Dish

$26 USDJohnson Bros Merry Christmas Tree Shaped Dish

Pottery:Transferware
A festive tree shaped serving dish in the Merry Christmas transferware pattern by Johnson Brothers, made in England. The pattern was reintroduced in 2004 but I don't believe they brought this piece back - in any event, it has the original old mark, not the new one. It measures 8-1/4" by 7-5/8" and is in excellent condition with no damage, crazing, or design wear.

The platter has no ...
Nasco English Village Transferware Jam Jar with Silverplate Spoon

$18 USDNasco English Village Transferware Jam Jar with Silverplate Spoon

Pottery:Transferware
This jam or jelly jar with fastand or attached underplate is in the hand tinted English Village transferware pattern by Nasco Japan. It's 5-1/4" high to the lid knob, the diameter of the underplate is 5-3/4". There is some crazing but no chips, flakes, or cracks. The jar comes with a pre-1930s silverplate serving spoon, 6" long. I don't know the pattern name or even the maker - the word before "plate" on the back markings has been crosshatched out. The spoon is in good condition with no plate ...
