Swedish Copper 3 Legged Tea Kettle with Original Label

$55 USDSwedish Copper 3 Legged Tea Kettle with Original Label

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Kitchen
This vintage hammered copper hearth tea kettle was made in Sweden in the 1950s or 1960s. It stands over 9" tall to the top of the lid finial and measures 10" across to the tip of the handle. The body is about 5-1/2" diameter. The spade iron legs and heart base handle are applied with copper rivets. The spotless interior is tinned, and is still bright and shiny, quite likely never used. The outside finish is clean and shiny too with no scratches or dings. The underside still has its original foil ...
Saltillo Mexico Hand Wrought Copper Creamer and Sugar Set

$49 USDSaltillo Mexico Hand Wrought Copper Creamer and Sugar Set

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Kitchen
This heavy Mexican hand wrought copper creamer and sugar set looks very Arts and Crafts style with its riveted brass band decoration, but it probably dates to the 1950s or a bit later. The wide mouth cream pitcher is 4-1/4" high, the elephant ears double handled open sugar is just under 3-1/2" tall. Both pieces are marked on the bottoms: Plateria Saltillo, Saltillo Com., Hecho en Mexico. They have some light marks from use and storage and the sugar rim has a little bump as shown in the second ...
Sheaves of Wheat Copper Kitchen Loaf Mold

$14 USDSheaves of Wheat Copper Kitchen Loaf Mold

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Kitchen
This vintage stainless steel lined copper loaf-shaped food mold is 8" by 4-3/4" wide by 2-3/4" deep. The four sides are fluted with wide ribs, a bundle of wheat is embossed in high relief on the front. The mold is clean and appears unused inside with a bright, shiny lining, but the outside has a spotty patina as well as light surface scratches or scuff marks to the lacquered finish (these do not appear to go down to the copper itself). The lacquer needs to come off, then upon polishing the ...
Craftsman Copper Folded Pod Shape Console Bowl

$80 USDCraftsman Copper Folded Pod Shape Console Bowl

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Arts & Crafts:Craftsman
Craftsman Studios made more than one size of this hammered and folded copper pod console or flower planter bowl, and this is the largest at 15" by 6-1/4" by 5" high. It rests on a two-part curled base. A previous owner liked her copper shiny and decided to polish the exterior but it looks like she left the inside alone - there's a water line near the rim and some light verdigris. There are no visible dings or scratches. Marked Hand Made Craftsman Co. with the hammer and anvil logo.
Copper Cookware Set 4 Pieces Plus Lids

$129 USDCopper Cookware Set 4 Pieces Plus Lids

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Kitchen
This 7-piece set of stainless steel lined copper cookware was made in the early to mid 1980s in Korea. It includes an 8-3/4" diameter by 4" deep Dutch oven style cooking pot, an 8-3/4" diameter skillet, a 7-3/8" by 3" deep saucepan, a 6" diameter by 2-1/4" deep saucepan, and three lids. The saucepans each have their own lid, the skillet and large pot share a lid. It was a moderately priced set when new, not professional quality but not the cheapest copper cookware you could buy either. All of ...
Chased Copper Mayan Aztec Calendar Plate or Charger

$24 USDChased Copper Mayan Aztec Calendar Plate or Charger

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper
This solid copper charger or wall plate has a hand chased Aztec calendar design tooled in high relief in the center. It measures 11" diameter and has a ring hanger on the back. There are no marks as to maker or origin that I can find. Upon close examination you can see three slight bends or bumps to the rim area of the soft copper. The patina is a little uneven as shown.
Craftsman Copper Arts and Crafts 14 Inch Charger Plate

$135 USDCraftsman Copper Arts and Crafts 14 Inch Charger Plate

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Arts & Crafts:Craftsman
This 14" diameter hand wrought copper tray or plate is a beautiful example of the Arts & Crafts style of the Craftsman Company of Los Angeles and Laguna Beach California, also known as Craftsman Studios. The shading and light of the warm patina are by design, and the slightly peaked tool marks in the center form the shape of a rose. The back has a wall hanger and protective felt dots, and is marked with the hammer & anvil logo, with the words "Hand Made, Craftsman Co, 903". The finish is in very ...
2 Copper and Brass Double Candelabra Candlesticks

$49 USD2 Copper and Brass Double Candelabra Candlesticks

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper
A nice vintage pair of decorative double candelabra in solid copper and brass, somewhat ornate with their scrolly brass arms. They're each 7-1/2" high by about 9" wide with 4-1/2" bases. They have no markings to indicate maker or origin. The candle cups have some ruffling or bends that may be intentional but if so they're not even. One base has a scratch near the bottom and one is slightly out of round, but the metal is soft and easy to form back into shape as desired. The bases of both candle ...
Gregorian Copper Silent Butler Flower & Oak Leaf Design

$32 USDGregorian Copper Silent Butler Flower & Oak Leaf Design

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper
Two nicely formed copper silent butlers or crumbers by Gregorian, the same design but different patina finishes. They're each about 9" long from handle to opposite rim, 5-1/2" diameter and 2" deep. Hammered texture worked in a flower petal design on the lid and an applied thumb piece in the shape of an oak leaf. The butler in pictures one and two has a nice dark patina, much darker than is typical for this company. The underside is numbered 101 and signed in script Gregorian Copper. The last ...
Vintage Hanging Solid Copper Round Pot Rack

$250 USDVintage Hanging Solid Copper Round Pot Rack

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Kitchen
I bought this round hanging copper pot rack in 1987. I love it but my new kitchen has no place to hang it. It measures 14-1/2" diameter not including the width of the six heavy brass hooks. The triple hanging chains are 21" long. The rack has a 1-3/4" deep lip, forming a shelf at the top so you can display something larger at the top - I've had copper egg boilers, stock pots, and even a large punch bowl on it at various times. The original gold foil importer's label is still attached to the ...
Craftsman Arts and Crafts Square Copper Silent Butler

$65 USDCraftsman Arts and Crafts Square Copper Silent Butler

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Arts & Crafts:Craftsman
This copper silent butler or crumb catcher was made by the former Craftsman Studios of Laguna Beach California under their Craftsmen mark. It's a transitional piece, moving from the Mission Arts and Crafts period to the Art Deco era, as evidenced by the modern square stepped shape combined with the hand made wooden handle, folded corners, and hand wrought finish details. The pan portion is 5" square by 1-1/4" deep, overall length including the painted wooden handle is 9-1/2". The inside has some ...
English Copper Individual Aspic Molds Snake Handles

$58 USDEnglish Copper Individual Aspic Molds Snake Handles

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Kitchen
I believe these unusual little silvered copper dishes are individual aspic or food molds. They're 3-1/2" diameter by about 3/4" deep, with deeply embossed designs vaguely reminiscent of the sea. Each has an applied loop handle in the form of a long snake. The molds are copper but were once tinned on the inside, silverplated on the bottoms. Most of the silverplating is still present but the inner tinning is all but gone. They are stamped Made In England. Surprisingly heavy for their size. Price ...
Pair of Craftsman Studios Arts and Crafts Copper Bookends Early CS Mark

$289 USDPair of Craftsman Studios Arts and Crafts Copper Bookends Early CS Mark

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Arts & Crafts:Craftsman
This pair of rare hand wrought solid copper bookends was made in the Arts & Crafts era by Craftsman Studios of California. The bookends are some of their earliest work as evidenced by the first mark, the letter S encircled by a C (this mark is often mistaken as a Carl Sorenson mark). The appearance is classic arts and crafts, almost shield shaped with curved under tips and an incised organic figure in the center evoking the body of a peacock or similar bird, and warty hammered texture. They are ...
Craftsman Hammered Copper Silent Butler

$34 USDCraftsman Hammered Copper Silent Butler

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Arts & Crafts:Craftsman
I believe a person could start a collection based solely on the different shapes and forms of silent butlers (also called crumbers or ash receivers) made by Craftsman Studios of California. This one is a smaller form, about 9 inches long from the curved handle to the rim. The rounded 5-1/2" octagonal shaped cover has random hammer marks, the bowl is a crimped flower petal shape with folded corners. The underside of the lid is marked with the hammer and anvil logo "Hand Made, Craftsman Co." and ...
Antique Primitive Hammered Copper Water Kettle

$55 USDAntique Primitive Hammered Copper Water Kettle

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper
This primitive hammered copper water or tea kettle is close to 200 years old - produced in the first half of the 1800s, probably in Northern Europe - Sweden, Norway, Finland or Denmark. It's very heavy, solid copper with a bronze handle, and completely hand made. It has numerous dents and dings, but the only glaring dent is to the base of the gooseneck spout. The spout has been repaired where it joins to the body - more than once, from the looks of it. The inside is unlined and not suitable for ...
Child's Toy Copper 4 Piece Turkish Coffee Set

$22 USDChild's Toy Copper 4 Piece Turkish Coffee Set

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper
A child size Turkish Coffee set in solid copper for play or display. I purchased the set used at a flea market in Seattle in the 1980s and was never sure if it was just a decorative item or actually produced as a toy, nor if the pieces actually belong together or were a marriage. I assume it dates to the 1970s or late 1960s though it may be older. The set includes a 7" diameter embossed tray, a 2-1/8" deep wooden-handled Ibrik pot with pour spout , an unhandled 1-3/4" high cup, and a 3-3/4" ...
Craftsman Mission Arts and Crafts Copper Silent Butler

$52 USDCraftsman Mission Arts and Crafts Copper Silent Butler

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Arts & Crafts:Craftsman
This hammered copper silent butler or crumb catcher was made by Craftsman Studios of Laguna Beach and Los Angeles California. The tool marks on the lid resemble a rose, the lower tab of the curled thumb catch is arrowhead shaped. About 6" diameter by 9-1/2" long from the handle. The patina shows signs of past polishing to the lid and body but the handle retains its original patina. The inside shows signs of use. The inside of the lid is marked "Hand Made Craftsman Co. 546" with the hammer and ...
Craftsman Hammered Copper Bowl

$49 USDCraftsman Hammered Copper Bowl

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Arts & Crafts:Craftsman
This Mission style copper bowl was made by Craftsman Studios of Laguna Beach and Los Angeles California. It has the Craftsman Co. Hand Made hammer and anvil mark and is numbered 890. The bowl is hand hammered with an 8-point inward pinched rim. It's 9-3/4" diameter by 3-1/8" deep. The inside of the bowl has old scratches and damage to the lacquer coating with some scratches affecting the underlying copper as well. A dark two-thirds up the inside wall may be a water ring. The coloring is still ...
Craftsmen Inc Craftsman Studios Arts and Crafts Copper Box

$69 USDCraftsmen Inc Craftsman Studios Arts and Crafts Copper Box

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Arts & Crafts:Craftsman
A pretty Craftsman solid copper trinket or playing card box, perhaps even a cigarette box. It measures 4-7/8" by 3-3/8" by just over one inch deep. The hinged lid is slightly puffed and the copper finish is smooth and plain, rather than the typical Craftsman hammered or beaten finish. A classic Arts & Crafts stylized trefoil motif decorates the cover along with intersecting lines near the edges. The condition is good but not mint. The box appears to have been kept polished for some time. There's ...
Craftsman Studios 1930s Copper Wave Form Bookends with Palm Trees

$78 USDCraftsman Studios 1930s Copper Wave Form Bookends with Palm Trees

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Arts & Crafts:Craftsman
This is an interesting set of tropical themed copper bookends from Craftsman Studios of Laguna Beach and Los Angeles, California. They're curved over like ocean waves, with an engraved beach scene of island palm trees. No doubt made for the California tourist trade in the late 1930s to early 1940s. The bookends are 4" high by 4-3/4" wide. The curved tops and backs have some finish wear as if from many years of faithful dusting, which has caused the lacquered finish to disappear in these areas, ...
German Copper Swirl Turk's Head Food Mold

$49 USDGerman Copper Swirl Turk's Head Food Mold

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Kitchen
This antique copper food head mold has the traditional Turk's Head design and shape, just like a Kugelhopf cake mold but without the center tube. It measures a little over 5" diameter by 2-5/8" deep, and has a substantial weight for its size. The top is marked Germany below the hanging ring. The inside of the mold is tin lined. The lining is not in bad condition at all considering the mold is between 80 and 100 years old or more, but you should not use it for food preparation as it may contain ...
Craftsman Copper Cigarette Box with Horse Head

$65 USDCraftsman Copper Cigarette Box with Horse Head

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Arts & Crafts:Craftsman
A solid copper cigarette box made by Craftsman Company (also known as Craftsman Studios) of Los Angeles and Laguna Beach, California, circa 1930s to early 1940s. The box measures 4-1/4" by 3-1/4" by one inch deep, with the hinged lid overhanging the box a bit on all sides. Embossed in high relief on the lid is an image of a horse head. The box has a spotty patina and was lightly polished at some point. It's in good condition with no dents or scratches. The underside is marked with the hammer and ...
Craftsman Studios Copper Tray with Desert Cactus Scene

$89 USDCraftsman Studios Copper Tray with Desert Cactus Scene

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Arts & Crafts:Craftsman
Beautiful 1920s copper serving tray by Craftsman Studios of Laguna Beach California, 11-1/2" diameter not including the raised handles. In the center is a stylized Western desert scene of cactus, sagebrush, mountains and sun in a triangle. Someone polished the tray long ago - you can see the white polish residue in the tool mark seams of the design, but it's re-developing a warm patina. There are no scratches or dings, the tray is in very good condition. Marked with the hammer and anvil logo ...
Craftsmen Inc Craftsman Studios Hammered Arrowhead Silent Butler Crumber

$59 USDCraftsmen Inc Craftsman Studios Hammered Arrowhead Silent Butler Crumber

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Arts & Crafts:Craftsman
One of many styles of copper silent butlers, crumbers, or ash receivers made by the former Craftsman Studios, this one under their Craftsmen Inc. mark. It's a much less common design for them, with a hinged split lid and raised arrowhead motif thumb catch. The lid is hand hammered and crimped, the handle is smooth with folded seams. My pictures make it look darker and spottier than it really is. The butler is 5-1/4" diameter by 1-3/8" high by 8-1/4" wide including handle. The underside is marked ...
Italian Fluted Copper Kitchen Mold

$28 USDItalian Fluted Copper Kitchen Mold

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Kitchen
This copper jelly mold is marked Italy near the rim. It's 4-3/4" diameter by 1-3/4" deep, in a fluted shape with a bullseye ring in the center. The inner tin lining has some wear and oxidation, and there are some light surface scuffs from storage on the top that are not deep. The mold has a nice warm brown patina.
Gregorian Copper Leaf Tray or Dish, Excellent Patina

$25 USDGregorian Copper Leaf Tray or Dish, Excellent Patina

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper
I love the coloring of the patina on this Mid-Century hand wrought copper leaf tray or dish by Gregorian. It measures 13" long by 6" wide and has a curled stem handle. There are no dings or scratches, and the lacquer coating was removed long ago, allowing the beautiful patina to develop. The usual copper foil Gregorian label is missing from the underside, but you can see the shadow of where it once was. One of the few Gregorian pieces that I purchased for my own collection, my recent move has ...
Hand Wrought Deep Copper Jelly or Cake Mold

$69 USDHand Wrought Deep Copper Jelly or Cake Mold

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Kitchen
This lovely hand wrought domed copper food mold has a subtle hammered texture with a slightly flower shaped design in the center rising from the arched designs in the base. It's 5-3/4" diameter by just over 4" deep, unmarked but of European origin, either German or England. The inside has a dull tin or zinc lining which is worn in a few spots. I'm not sure if it's food safe, though there is some light baking residue inside. The copper has a few minor dents which simply blend in with the texture ...
Eames Era Hammered Copper Candle Sconces

$45 USDEames Era Hammered Copper Candle Sconces

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper
This pair of big Mid Century Modern hammered copper wall sconces for taper candles isn't marked, other than paper labels with the number 1264, but they have an attractive European or Danish Modern look to them. They're rhombus or equilateral diamond shaped, curved outward at the center, 17 inches long by 5-1/2" wide. The upper and lower tips look like they were curled at one time and someone straightened them out. The copper is soft enough to re-curl if you wish. There are a few very minor ...
Craftsman Studios No. 341 Copper Watering Can

$70 USDCraftsman Studios No. 341 Copper Watering Can

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Arts & Crafts:Craftsman
This hand wrought solid copper watering can was made by Craftsman Studios of Laguna Beach California under their Craftsmen Inc. trademark. It has folded seams and a crimped rim, measuring 4-3/4" high by 9-1/2" wide from spout to handle. There's a copper spacer bar between the body and spout for strength, a feature not found on any of the several other styles of Arts and Crafts copper watering cans made by Craftsman. More than just a display piece, the plant waterer was used and has normal signs ...
Early Craftsman Studios Arts and Crafts Copper Bookend, First Mark

$139 USDEarly Craftsman Studios Arts and Crafts Copper Bookend, First Mark

Collectibles:Metalware:Copper:Arts & Crafts:Craftsman
A very early piece of Arts and Crafts hand wrought copper by Craftsman Studios of Los Angeles California. The single bookend bears the first commercial mark used by Craftsman, the letter C encircling the letter S (this mark is often mistaken for that of Carl Sorenson). The bookend is 5-1/4" high by 4" wide and is decorated with a period flower motif surrounded by slightly convex planishing. Rich, original dark patina with some minor irregularities to the coloring as shown in the closeup. No ...
