Antique Rosary, Beads and Cross in French Sterling, CA.1890

This beautiful Rosary is crafted totally of Sterling Silver...it is French from CA.1890....and bears the petite hallmarks for the .950 sterling quality of that period (for small silver items)

The Cross is hallmarked as is the Heart...the individual beads and the chain are all in Sterling (but too delicate and small for hallmarks)....the Beads are hollow so the whole Rosary is light weight for wearing.

The approx. size is17.75" long in total x 11.75" each side to top of the Heart (so almost a 24" strand).

I have not polished the Rosary as some clients prefer the "Patina of Age", but it will shine if carefully polished! It is in Excellent original condition......notice the cutout Heart designs on the ends of the Cross itself.

I rarely find Rosaries that are all Sterling....usually a combination of sterling and stone beads...or even later after the turn of the 19th Century, they were manufactured using silver plate chain and glass beads.

A Beautiful Rosary to wear daily, or to treasure for those special occasions.....
