French "Cave de Liqueur" or Liquor Cabinet, Marquetry Inlaid, CA.1880

This fine French Marquetry "Cave de Liqueur", or Liqueur Cabinet, is inlaid with Satinwood, Amboyna Burl, Birdseye Maple, Rosewood, Ebony and Mother of Pearl!! It was created in France CA.1880, and a very Fashionable Dining room, or Smoking Room accessory during the late Victorian Era.

The Original interior carrier contains 4 Bottles and Stoppers with Gilt Enamel and floral Engraved Decor, and 10 Glasses in the same fashion. (There are also 6 old replacement glasses of the same size with a geometric decor...see Photo), for a complement of 16 Glasses altogether.

The Carrier itself would be removed from the box, possibly situated on a Sideboard, and brought to the Dining Table for an elegant After Dinner drink of a sweet liqueur.

The Box is very handsome open or closed, and would make a wonderful statement on your Sideboard or Console Table. The size is approx 13" wide x 10" deep x 10.5" tall

It has a very professional French Polished finish, and is ready to grace your home.....it would be packaged in 2 separate boxes to guarantee safe arrival!!
