Such a pretty and delicately embossed Valentine greeting card (6 1/4" x 4 1/2")! It has an upper layer of delicately formed diecut florals and fancy shapes - placed on the accordion-type tabs to give a two-tiered, layered effect (please see closeup photos). The bottom layer shows two little girls watching doves flitting among rose branches. The surrounding area has embossed and gilded plumes, fans and scrolls with lots of pink highlights. There are four appliques - a winged angel, two boy cupids (one unlocking a heart and the other with bow and arrows), and a bouquet of roses.

The verse on the inside speaks of "True Love": "I send a line to say, / I love you very dearly; / Come rain or shine, / Sweet Valentine / I'm ever yours sincerely".

This greeting card is in very good shape EXCEPT for the upper lacy layer. A number of the delicate connections among small floral & design elements are broken (please see all closeup photos). The price reflects the flaws on this wonderful valentine. Otherwise the diecut edges of the card are in fine shape and the graphics are clean and bright. The back has a penciled name and four spots where valentine was once glued into a scrapbook of some kind.
