The beautiful portrait of this elegant lady was painted as "La femme a l'eventail" by the French painter & illustrator Abel Faivre (1867-1945) and was presented at the 1901 Salon des Artistes Français art exhibition.

The card is stamped, canceled and postmarked Oct. 6, 1917 in Sophia, Bulgaria. The stamp is the 1917 Macedonia Liberation, 1st issue. The card was published/printed by Moderner Kunst (Berlin) and is identified as #2126. It is in good/very good condition with minimal edge and moderate corner wear - there is also a faint bit of ink from the postmark to right of the lady's face.
