I have two of these lovely plates available and am happy to consider an offer for both. The highly detailed transfer print of larger roses is surrounded by a ring of smaller rose-pink and magenta ones. The background is a delicate wash of blended shades of pale petal-pink, powder blue and the lightest touch of creamy yellow. White, handpainted accents add nice detailing to the larger roses. The scalloped and delicately molded rim is painted in a bright gold.

Each 7 5/8" plate is in very good condition with no chips, nicks, cracks, hairlines or crazing. The transfer prints are bright and complete with minor fading at floral edges near gold trim and in center of largest pink rose. Gold wear to the rim is minimal - ca. 5%. Each plate has one or two very fine, thin stray scratches that are barely visible. The crown 'Wallendar' mark is overglaze and may be a local decorating mark or an importer's mark. Wallendar (or Vallendar) was a town on the Rhine. I have not yet been able to discover any information on this company. Please visit me again!
