This beautiful and brightly colored ewer stands 10 1/2" tall and is 5 1/4" in diameter at the base. It carries Van Patten's Mark #89 for Royal Kinran. This uncommon form is shown (with moriage and not having the detailed gilded work and vibrant palette of the one that I am offering here) in her Collector's Encyclopedia of Nippon Porcelain, Fifth Series (1998), plate 3096 and plates 4506 & 4689 in the Seventh Series (2002) with values between $700-$950. This pattern is shown on a cookie jar in Van Patten's Third Series (with a 1996 value of $425-500).

In very good condition EXCEPT for a repair on the back lip of spout (ca. 1" long and which has been cleanly repaired) and a 1/4" missing spot on one of the beaded chains of the elaborate rosette netting (on front near handle). Please see last two photos for these flaws. The thousands of tiny beads are intact and there is minimal wear to gold slip overlay or to the hand painted florals on the body; minor gold wear to the handle - ca. 25%. Price reflects flaws. Thanks for taking time to look around in my shop!
