"Main Street" Sale (10/4-10/24)!! Take 20% off orders over $25! Discount applied when invoice is sent. Layaways welcome!
This 7 1/2" plate is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or crazing. Gold wear is minimal (ca. 5%). There is some fading in the center due to what appears to have been the base of a hot bowl - not noticeable unless seen at an angle under a raking light. It carries a mark of a cursive 'N' within a wreath with the words 'Nippon Toki Kashi' underneath and a cursive 'Noritake' above. Morimura Bros. originally formed Nippon Toki Kaisha Ltd, which later become Noritake. The use of "N" for Noritake, rather than "M", dates after 1953. The use of the phrase 'Nippon Toki Kaisha' ceased in 1963. Thanks for taking time to browse in my shop!
