This splendid, ornate bowl has a complex molded rim - scalloped, ruffled and fluted - giving the impression of a large open conch shell. The rim is heavily gilded and the floral pattern consists of delicate flowers in lovely, subtle shades of pale yellow, sea-foam green and peach with tan and sage leaves and vines. The petals of each flower is hand enameled. Stunning!

Measures 10" across and 2 1/2 deep. It bears three marks - Gaston's mark 3, stamped, and mark 3, incised, and mark 6, as well. Thus, this large display bowl dates between 1891-1914, likely at the end of the 19th century. In excellent condition, no chips cracks or loss of paint. Thanks very much for spending time in my shop!
