SALE Vintage Green Satin Ruffled Bowl and Underplate

This very pretty, satin glass bowl and underplate set is a luminous, but mellow shade of lime-green. The bowl stands about 2 3/4 inches high, and its flared, fluted rim is 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The plate is 6 1/4 inches in diameter. The rim of the bowl is rolled in, creating a narrow, rounded lip which is loosely pinched into 6 ruffles. The edge of the plate is accented with a thin band, slightly narrower than the rest of the plate. The set is unmarked and no sticker remains, but it has the look and 'feel' of Tiffin.

Condition of this set is very good -- the plate and inside of the bowl have light scratch-wear which is not visible unless the pieces are held at an angle to sunlight. The outside of the bowl has four spots of very minor wear -- one spot where the acid failed to adhere to the glass, and two freckle-sized spots and one ¼"spot, near the base of the bowl, where the satin finish has abraded. None of these imperfections mentioned are visible when the pieces are displayed but I have reflected them in the price. This bowl and plate will make a nice addition to any collection of satin glass or vintage colored glassware. Thanks very much for taking the time to visit!
