Such a unique and interesting vase! The spherical body has a swirled, fluted form. Its clear glass is embellished with a delicate pink & white "string" overlay - which is sometimes referred to as "spaghetti" or "drizzle". It is unmarked, but has a strong resemblance to the string glass produced by Hazel in the 1950s-60s. However, the overlay is very similar to that used by Bartlett Collins in the 1960s - their "string" or "netting" overlay was often placed on top of a thin rubberized thermo treatment on tumblers and pitchers to hold the coolness in. On this vase, the overlay is directly applied to the clear glass.
This wonderful retro Eames item is 4 7/8" wide and 5" tall. It is in very good condition with no chips, nicks, cracks or hairlines. There is some roughness around the rim which does not appear to have been polished. Thanks for dropping by!
