This delightful card was not postally used, but has a space designated for a one-cent stamp. The inked message covers both fields and includes a date of Apr. 13,1911. The card has a Post Card banner for Commercial Colortype Co.(Buffalo, NY and Pittsburgh, PA) and is identified as Series No. 77. In good condition with minimal edge and moderate corner wear, including a crease on the upper lefthand corner, a bent (upper paper layer is broken) upper righthand corner, and a tiny (1/8") tear near lower lefthand corner. Still such a wonderful image!
The vividly colored, silver-toned "Easter Greetings" card features a bright, yellow egg surrounded by branches of pink roses & buds and an ornate cross. It was stamped, canceled and postmarked Apr. 9, 1909 in Brooklyn, NY. The Post Card banner could be either Curt Teich or S. H. Knox (Chicago). Penciled message and address. In very good condition with minimal edge and minor corner wear.
