Nippon Hand Painted Berry/Nut Set (Master Bowl & Six Dishes), White and Magenta Roses, Gold Accents

The handpainted roses on the larger (9 3/4") bowl and smaller dishes are done in interesting colors - deep magenta with rose-pink highlights and dove-grey with white and medium grey highlights. The leaves are in shades of moss, grass, mint and milky-grey.

The master bowl is 9 3/4" in diameter and is 2 1/4" deep; each smaller bowl is 5 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/2" deep. The set is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. One of the smaller bowls has some roughness under a couple of places under the rim which could be tiny nicks. Also, please note that some areas of the glaze shows some firing pops and tiny bubbles. I have included a closeup photo to show how this looks under a raking light. But, overall, this is a lovely set! The bowl and dishes carry Van Patten's Mark 113 (Torii).
