The elegant, tankard-style chocolate pot is 10" tall and 5" from handle to spout; The cake plate is 12" across the handles and 11" in diameter of the serving area. Each demitasse cup is 2 3/8" from handle to rim and stands 2" tall; the saucers are 4 3/8" in diameter. In excellent condition with no chips nicks, cracks or hairlines, EXCEPT for a nick on the rim of one cup next to the handle. I have a fifth saucer which I will add to compensate for this flaw - perfect for resting a spoon or as a separate trinket dish. There is no loss of gold beading or of the raised gold tracery highlighting the roses and outlining other borders and colored elements in the design. But there is some minor fading (10-25%) to areas on some of the gold stenciling patterns (please see closeup photos). Each piece carries Van Patten's Mark #38 for Imperial Nippon. An example of this chocolate pot form/type can be seen (without its tray) in van Patten's Collector's Encyclopedia of Nippon Porcelain, Fifth Series, Plate 3754; Seventh Series, Plates 4786 & 4795. Thanks for taking time to browse in my shop!
